Researching One in Six Million & Researching, or How I Feel in Love With Post-It Notes

In "Researching One in Six Million", the author explains how researching information about her grandmother is much different and more difficult than research papers in school. The information on her grandmother was limited and hard to find. Throughout Selznick's research, she gained interest in the topic she was learning about. The author explains all the things she did to obtain information on her grandmother.
In "Researching, or How I Fell in Love With Post-It Notes", the author talks about her thoughts of researching before college. She explains how she always had to do research, but never really knew how to do it or where to start. Throughout her article, she gives 3 steps of researching. The steps are mainly for setting yourself up to begin the research. I agree with Rodriguez's thoughts in her article because I don't think researching is as hard as preparing for it is. Her 3 steps are insightful and provide a lot of help. I also like how she uses some good analogies and attention keepers throughout her explanation of her steps.
